Duties

Deliver prepared lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher or create engaging activities aligned with curriculum standards.

Manage classroom behavior effectively using established behavior management techniques to promote a respectful and productive environment.

Support students’ individual learning needs, including those with special education requirements or working with children with autism.

Foster a positive classroom atmosphere by encouraging participation, collaboration, and curiosity among students.

Assist with classroom routines such as attendance, transitions, and maintaining a clean and organized learning space.

Implement early childhood education principles and literacy or math instruction tailored to preschool or elementary levels.

Communicate clearly with students, staff, and parents about student progress or behavioral concerns when necessary.

Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learners, including those in Montessori or preschool settings.

Document student activities and progress as required by school policies.

Collaborate with school staff to support curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management strategies.
Requirements

Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is highly desirable.

Strong understanding of childhood development, early childhood education, literacy education, math instruction, and classroom management techniques.

Knowledge of special education practices and experience working with students with autism or other exceptionalities is a plus.

Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, staff, parents, and caregivers.

Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments and grade levels while maintaining professionalism.

Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, tutoring, and implementing Montessori or preschool methodologies is advantageous.
